This is my baby sitter form for my dog

 Writing Lesson May 17th - Procedural writing. 

Pet Sitting

Purpose: To write instructions for a pet-sitter. 


My Writing goal is: _To use sentences that describe how and when so my instructions are detailed._

Success Criteria

Looking after the dogs at my parents’ farm


Equipment needed: Bucket / Knife / Chopping block 


Food and Water needed: Dog biscuits, Tiny biscuits (Richie the small dog) Water, Meat chunks (In Fridge)

Instructions: 

First you grab the meat from the fridge and then you go and feed them . You fill up the water by pouring some in their bowls and then you are done. Have fun. 

How to look after my dog

Goal: to use better sentence starters.


Equipment:                 Ingredients:

2 dog bowls                 1 dog roll out of the fridge

Dogs favourite teddy    Water 


  1. Feed the dog at 8:00pm any later the dog will not go to sleep, 

  2. Firstly get the meat out of the fridge ,pour the water into the bowl. from the tap on the left side of the fridge 

  3. Secondly cut the meat into quarters.  You will find the knife in the draw on the right to the fridge. You will find her bowl in the cupboard. 

  4. Next place the bowl on the table out of reach from the dog and put meat in. 

  5. After that carefully put the bowl with food on the floor outside. 

  6. Remember, don't let the dog up on the couch otherwise it will get tawn.

  7. Once she has finished her food, give her the chew toy .WARNING! Keep your hand away from the mouth. 

  8. Finally take her bed inside and make her lie down by saying “sit”.
