WHY I SHOULD GO ON THE HOROUTA WAKA
Dear waka captain Anito
Lots of people have been talking about how our island has been overpopulated, people have been running out of food and supplies so I want to be one of the brave voyagers to try to find new land.
Firstly I am great at navigation when the waka runs off course I will be there to use the bright stars and warm currents to guide the waka back onto the track
Secondly I will fix the waka when the rope snaps in a storm when waves are as big as mountains.Im a very good climber and not scared of heights when the sail snaps.
Thirdly I fancy myself as a pretty good doctor, when members get struck off the ship and drown I'm good at CPR or they just get sea sick, so I can save lives.
So coming to the conclusion, can you please accept my letter and hope that I can go on the horouta waka.
Yours sincerely one of your horouta waka members.

My strengths
My strength is teslaating different shapes into a shape and naming 3D solids and enlarging block lettering.
Goals
Need to work on my enlargement. I thought that I would be good at enlarging because I normally get it right. I need to work on my navigation systems and my a to b shapes and naming the difference between the rhombus and the parallelogram.
What helped me
I think that the work I did on the workshops helped me to know how to name shapes and teslatate and enlarge animals.
Preparing
I prepare for my test by learning my 3D shapes by looking around at all the different shapes around the class.
What the teachers did well in, and what they need to work on
I think the teachers need to work on i think that they could give us more time on mathletics and maybe some more activities
Conclusion
I like geometry tests and I love dealing with different shapes and doing block lettering as enlarging different animals. Another reason is that I love tinkercad using different shapes that I didn't even know about .

In Stacy's pocket
12 things in Mrs S’s / Mr K’s pocket / Sponge Bob Square Pants - Choose an interesting character, who you could use for this piece of writing.
Writing task:
To think of 12 things that are either in Mr S’s or Mr K’s pocket or Sponge Bob Square Pants
Focus: Punctuation and Sentences.
Punctuation Success:
OK: All sentences have capital letters and full stops. Example: In SpongeBob’s pockets there was a key.
There was also rubber.
Good: There are a range of other punctuation eg commas, question marks etc Example In SpongeBob’s pocket there was a telescope. Why? This is so he could see where he was going.
Excellent: I can use semicolons in a list. See example below
Example - 12 things in Sponge Bob Square Pants Pocket.
In SpongeBob’s pocket you would find: Six crusty old crabby patties, in case he gets lost under the sea; an invite to Patrick Star’s 28th birthday party in case he forgets the address; …
In Stacy's pocket: You will find her morning star ,made out of sewing string and ice block sticks; You will also find some stickers that she stole from kindergarten; Some eye bursting pepper spray for Mega fat ceo baby; One of jimbo’s stinky pacifiers;A smelly toto from a ballerina recital; A barbie head she ripped off; A stapler off boss baby; a sticky button that she ripped off reney her teacher; The modest baby in the world certificate: A asma inhaler for when she gets stressed; A sharp pin;a bottle cap for something; a pencil for doodling.
I think I did well at my pocket writing. I managed to be able to write 12 reasons, that's why I think I did well.

Rounding decimals
On Monday and Tuesday, we learnt how to add and round decimals; with Mrk and Mrs.
We did some of these questions so for instance 1.0 plus 2.3
if you didn't know
My strong suit isn't decimals; so it was a little challenge.
My Maths Place Value Reflection Week 9
Maths Place Value Reflection Week 9
Thinking about my learning in place value the parts I’ve improved upon are my decimals and for next time i need to work on.
The reasons for my improvement have been my demaciles because all the workshops he have been doing.
These could have been Mathletics, watching videos from
the website, the workshops you attended or the Kahoots
you were part of.
The parts I really enjoyed were when we spit up and do workshops.
The parts that could be better were the first place value page.

Respect | Responsibility |
I understand that my parents and teachers trust me to make good decisions online that help me learn and build respect among my peers. I only use my Makauri gmail account at school. If you bring your own device to school, use it in the ways, and at the times that your teacher says it is okay to. I don’t share my password for my email account with anyone, even my friends. | I never put my personal information online - You never know who might be able to access it. I know that in order to keep me safe at school, there are sites, programs, and Apps that I am forbidden to use. I understand that sometimes it may be better to communicate with people in person rather than digitally. I always log off and return my device to the charging areas when I have finished. |
Perseverance | Caring |
My blog posts are always the best they can be since I am proud of what I share online. I will make mistakes online but I will use them as learning experiences to move forward. | I think it's important that when I feel unsafe online I must tell an adult at school or at home. My blog comments and online feedback comments are always positive. They also challenge people to do better. |
